Oral Roberts University and Early Ministry Lynn and I met at Oral Roberts University (ORU) in 1985, where Lynn received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, and I graduated with a Master of Divinity, from the Seminary. This is a great School where you will be prepared to go toward your destiny. In my experience, the professors were for you, they wanted to help you succeed. Here we were also given the opportunity to receive from many great world changing ministries, that were in and came through, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A truth I learned is that where ever you go, when you move with God, He will instruct you as you travel on your journey, pressing toward your goals in Life. Impartation from Omar Caberra and David Cho. While at ORU, God gave me the privilege of being on ministry outreaches to Argentina and South Korea. In Argentina, God used the ministry of Omar Caberra to impart into my life. He moves in a great apostolic ministry which has planted many churches all over the nation of Argentina, at that time there were over 220,000 people in the churches he had planted. I also had the privilege to go to South Korea, to David (Paul) Yonngi Cho's great church. (At that time over 600,000 people attended weekly services.) God used these great ministries to fill me with an expectation that He is able to do more than we ask or imagine. God is able to do the same here in our great nation. I have a vision of believers moving in unity, yielding to God and the Holy Spirit, and serving God with all their hearts. I have a vision of a church that impacts every area of society! Beginning Ministry While at ORU, I ministered as a Youth Pastor, Minister of Prayer, and as an Assistant Instructor at the University. In Tulsa, I was part of Victory Christian Outreach, and received Pastor Billy Joe Daughtery as our pastor while there. God has placed in our hearts a love for the nations, and a vision to establish a church that would reach out to the people of the World. He has also placed a desire in my heart to see multitudes, in unity, impacting our nation and going forward in Jesus' name. Ordination After graduating from ORU, we felt God leading us to serve Him at Morris Cerullo World Evangelism (MCWE). Stepping out in faith to God's leading, we moved to San Diego, CA, the world headquarters of MCWE. God opened the doors and I became a Field Director; for the ministry.; I was given the privilege to help prepare for the mass evangelistic crusades. As part of the advance ministry team of MCWE, I was given a great opportunity to minister and preach in churches throughout Mexico and Central America. In 1989, I was ordained by Morris Cerullo. Just as God had called us into ministry, we felt God leading us to begin a new work for Him. We were willing to go wherever He would direct and lead us. In November of 2004, we came into affiliation with Living Word Bible Church in Mesa, AZ. Lynn and I were ordained by Living Word, and have received Pastor Tom as their pastor here in Arizona. El Salvador In my traveling, I had the privilege to meet Sergio Solorzano from "El Salvador". His church "Elim" had 56,000 regular attenders every Sunday. His genuine visible love for God, His humility and His power in sharing the word of God impacted my life greatly. He is a man with a pastor's heart, who has impacted my life greatly. He helped to confirm God's direction in planting a new church. Coming back to Arizona After much prayer and seeking God for direction, we saw God confirm to us that we were to come to Arizona and establish a church body. A church that would share God's Love, teach God's people to live by Faith, and reach out to the nations. God confirmed to me that we were to establish a church that would care about the lost, bring in the harvest, seek out and teach the young, find and heal the wounded, and nourish and multiply the strong and healthy. In the summer of 1989, we began a radio ministry which continued for about seven years. In 1990, we began our first service as Living Word Christian Outreach Center. Our Heart Our heart is to share God's love. We are called to teach His people how to know God and to live by faith. We want every person to know how much God loves them and how to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Going to church is about having a personal relationship with the living God! We are about seeing believers possess all of God's promises. The gospel is the "good news" and that is what we share at Life Church.
